As a PT, I enjoy learning new theories and techniques to help both myself, my clients, and the athletes I coach. I recently learned a great new system called Foundation Training, which is used to correct movement patterns and postures in order to decrease chronic pain, improve function, and improve athletic performance.
Immediately after going through the various exercises, I noticed I was able to stand taller with less effort and my shoulders moved through a full range with less effort or stretch felt. And this was all without doing any stretches or mobilization activities! They are all simple exercises that can be performed daily for both improving posture, maintaining function, and preventing future issues.
