Thoracic mobility is essential for any over your overhead movements and any squatting activities. If you don’t have proper mobility, you will be unable to get a good, upright torso in the bottom of your squat for any Olympic lifts, the shoulders will take more straight when pressing overhead, and you will have difficulty getting into the arch position for any kipping movements for gymnastics skills on the bar.
